Scream 5: The killing continues

If you enjoy being spooked and getting chills, you will be happy to hear that Scream is making a 5th return January 14, 2022. Some original characters will be in the thriller such as Dewey Riley (David Arquette), Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) and Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell). Campbell expresses the impact these movies have in her life on etonline.com:

“These movies mean so much to me for my life and career and they are always a blast to do, so it should be fun.”

Arquette shares his excitement of returning to the film and having the opportunity to play the characters once again on the website:

“It’s a really fun project. This will be the fifth film and it’s really a special opportunity to show a character’s growth and sort of where they are now.”

There will be certain changes to the film. One of the changes is that Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Picture are taking on production. The second change since Wes Craven passed from brain cancer in 2015. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of the filmmaking group Radio Silence are taking over the director’s chair.

The movie will also include young new cast members such as Jack Quaid from The Boys, Melissa Barrera from In the Heights, Jenna Ortega from You, Dylan Minnette (13 Reasons Why), Jasmin Savoy Brown (The Leftovers), Mason Gooding (Love, Victor)
