For The Love Of Cats
Help abandoned cats and kittens find warm and loving homes by taking part in a non-profit organization called For the Love of Cats in Marco Island, FL. According to the website the organization started in 2002 when founders, Jan and Jim Rich moved to Marco Island and saw the plight of the growing feral cat population. When the couple sold their business, they started saving cats and in the beginning 24 kittens were saved and 6 cats were fixed. A user of greatnonprofits.org praises the organization.
“This nonprofit organization goes beyond and above of the duties. One of the best caring and exceptional organizations I have ever come across. They are so caring and loving to the animals that they are amazing people” said princessLea.
When people come to For the Love of Cats, they find the perfect companion to take home and fall in love with that cat at the instant they meet.
“We adopted my beloved Oscar from For the Love of Cats. He was a stray, de-clawed, abandoned, dirty, scruffy, biting, scared cat that someone from For the Love of Cats had rescued from the Golf Course. From the first moment I saw him and he walked over to me and sat beside me, I fell in love. Oscar did not bite me, nor did he run or hide.” said Marcojane a user of greatnonprofits.org.
“These folks helped Taz kitty when he was dying and prolonged his life for several years. He lived to 15. I really miss him. Thanks to you I was able to enjoy his company a while longer. Coolest cat I’ve ever known. He was funny, a great mouser, and the best companion any one could ask for!” said Thomas Beal a user of facebook.com.
Bringing a little friend home from For the Love of Cats can also bring a family closer together:
“My most recent rescue turned out to be a rescue for our family. Buddy (aka) Salvadore healed our home from such sadness.” said Susan403 a user of greatnorprofits.org.
For families with low income For the Love of Cats has a community outreach program called Help ’Em Keep ’Em helps these families pay for veterinary care, so their cat or kitten can stay healthy.
If someone wants to add a new member to the family, she or he should think about adding a little friendly fur ball companion from For the Love of Cats.
