“I think these last two games were pretty textbook, defensively. “Back end of a back to back, obviously, it’s hard and sometimes your legs aren’t there, so you’ve got to be mentally sharp.

Patrick Sieloff tied the game for the Senators 1–1 with a slap shot that hit the broad then hit Reimer’s back making the puck go into the net (12:48). Keith Yadle gave panthers the 2–1 lead with a wrist shot(15:58). During the second period, Evgenii Dadonov made it 3–1 as he one-timed a pass from Aleksander Barkov(2:15).
Panthers continued their success in second period as Jared McCann put the puck with a snap shot on a breakaway which made the score 4–1(7:19). Senators got back into the game as right winger Marian Gorborik scored the final with a wrist shot and changed the score to 4–2 (13:52). The cats kept pushing as Frank Vatrano made a wrist shot to make it 5–2(16:13). The Aleksander Barkov was given the puck by Dadonov and one-timed it and made it 6–2 for the cats(17:04). The final 7–1 goal was scored by Jamie Mcginn with a backhand in the third period(12:08).
