Florida Panthers vs. New York Rangers

Florida Panthers battled New York Rangers in the ice rink and won 4–3 Saturday night. This is the cats second win against the Rangers. Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist who made 26 saves talked about playing against the Panthers on nhl.com:

“They’re a tricky team. For two periods, I felt they were just going for it. We had our opportunities, but they made it tough for us in our end. A lot of side-to-side. I think that’s what makes them so hard to play against.”

Evgenii Dadonov scored twice, Jonathan Huberdeau and Keith Yandle gave the cats assists. Cats goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky did his job well with 30 saves.

Panthers got the 4–3 win during the second period when Dadonov performed a one-timer at the face-off circle from Yandle’s pass. The cats tied it 3–3 when Brett Connolly performed a wrist shot on the right of the face-off circle during the second period. Connolly talked about the moment on nhl.com:

“I just tried to pull it in and change the angle a little bit. We stuck with it. It wasn’t an easy game. Obviously, we’d like to give up less chances.”

Tony DeAngelo gave New York Rangers 3–2 in the second period as he got a pass from Artemi Panarin. The Center tied the game 2–2 during the first period. Ryan Strome tied it for the Rangers 1–1 as he received the puck from Jasper Fast. The game kicked off when Mike Hoffman received the puck from Yandle during the Power-Play making it 1–0.
