This season Florida Panthers play like a flame on the ice rink with BIG wins I’m surprised it doesn’t melt! On January 14, the cats took on Dallas Stars which resulted in a 7–1 win. Sam Bennett performed his second hat trick of the season. The Center shared his thoughts on nhl.com:

“Sometimes it’s just your night. You’ve got to take advantage of those nights because they don’t happen too often.”

Jonathan Huberdeau, Sam Bennett and Anthony Declair gave the cats five goals and six assists. Sergi Bobrovsky made 29 saves. Florida Panther coach Andrew Brunette speaks about the three players on nhl.com

“Benny’, ‘Huby’ and ‘Duke,’ they’re really feeling it right now. They’ve got a lot of chemistry together.”

Roope Hintz put the Stars on the board. Jake Oettinger allowed four goals on 17 shots. He was kicked out of the game during the second period. Anton Khudobin stepped into the net and made 19 saves.

The action began when Gustav Forsling put the panthers on the board at 3:07 in the first period. He put the puck into the net when it was passed by Bennett. The score increased 2–0 when Declair made it 2–0 after taking a pass from Huberdeau. Carter Veirhaeghe gave the cats 3–0 during the second period at 5:33. Huberdeau brings the panthers up to a 4–0 lead as he performs a one-timer with Declair’s pass.

Bennett scored his second goal of the game during a power-play and made it 5–0 at 12: Then he made it 6–0 for the cats. Dallas Stars finally came into the game when Hintz during the third period at 1:06 changing the score to 6–1. Bennett then scored the game winning goal for Florida Panthers 7–1. Stars coach Rick Browness shares his thoughts about the game on nhl.com:

“There’s a lot [we didn’t like].It starts with not being willing to compete.”

Fans on Facebook shared their thoughts on the game:

“We killed them sent them back home crying” said Kiki Ann Dulaney

“Outstanding ….in every aspect ..offense on fire and Bobtovsky and defense playing well …let’s crush Columbus” said Bill Bright

“They showed they belong at the top of the league” said Dan Mix

“I think this is the best on south Florida , these Cats are Impressive and look really good” said Amy Davidson

Florida Panthers are doing their best this season and fans love it hoping the team keep it going. It would be nice to see the cats holding the cup in the end. That thought seems possible this season below are highlights of the game
